Our Story

Every Kruger Bag begins its life deep in the Kruger National Park — as a safari tent, or the canvas of a game-viewing vehicle, out where lions pass, storms break and the African sun never lets up. When that canvas is finally retired, we rescue it, and our craftsmen and women hand-make it into a single, unrepeatable bag. No two are alike. No two ever can be.

What makes it rare

This is what sets a Kruger Bag apart: every piece is made only from genuine Kruger National Park canvas — never from ordinary offcuts or workshop scrap. The material is rare by its very nature. We can source it only when a tent is replaced or a game-viewer is re-canvassed, so each bag is strictly limited and many designs are made just once. When a piece is gone, it is gone for good.

The story you can't manufacture

Each design carries the name of the wild — Sable, Kudu, Klipspringer, Buffalo — and a history no factory can reproduce. This canvas weathered the bushveld; a lion may well have brushed past it on a quiet morning drive. You’re not buying a bag. You’re carrying a genuine, one-of-a-kind piece of Africa.
